Cultivation / Plant breeding

Tulipa tarda L.

Grow in full sun and in humus-rich, well-drained, moderately moist soils.

Remove bulbs after the falling of the leaves and store them in a dark and cool place, to be replanted in late autumn, at a depth of 2-3 times the size of the bulb. Remove flowering stem after the end of the flowering to stimulate a bigger bulb growth.
Plant does not set seed, flowers are sterile, or plants will not come true from seed.
